| Purpose: The Racing Commission will conduct an emergency meeting to address a request from the licensee for its two greyhound racetracks to suspend live racing due to precautionary measures related to the COVID-19 virus. Further, the Commission shall consider at its emergency meeting a request from its licensee conducting thoroughbred racing at Charles Town to alter its live racing schedule due to precautionary measures related to the COVID-19 virus. An emergency meeting is necessary on these matters to address the imminent threat and substantial harm posed by COVID-19 to members of the public that the Racing Commission serves, including racing constituents and participants. |
