Wendell Brown is honored by Lee Brown

Captain Wendell Lee Brown was born on 8 September 1941 in South Carolina. He was 28 and married when he died. Capt Brown was an Issue Forward Air Controller assigned to the 19th Tactical Air Support Squadron and flew out of ChuChi supporting the 25th Infantry Division. He and 1st Lt. Jose Hector Ortiz were on take off in OV-10A S/N 68-3824 when they were hit by ground fire and crashed about four miles southwest of ChuChi in Hua Nghia Province South Vietnam. Capt Brown served 171 days in combat.

My father Charles Morman lives in Ashland, Ky and served in the US Navy on Destroyers from 1958-1962, including Bay of Pigs off of Cuba. I am very proud of him.

Charles Reynolds is honored by Matthew Reynolds

I'm voting in honor of my father, Charles Reynolds. He served our country for 21 years in the Army and several more as a national guardsmen. He was a Vietnam veteran as well as a desert storm veteran. He is the reason I take my vote seriously and took me to vote in my first election. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of him and I know he'll be right there with me come election day.

In honor of my dad, Eddie Richmond, who served in the US Army for 6 years during the Vietnam era. He has always paid honor to all veterans of all branches. Dad has always talked about how much we all owe those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, as well as all who have chosen to honor and serve this great nation of ours. Now it's my turn to honor him. :-)

In Honor of my step Dad, Wayne (Jack) Winter. He was assigned to the 773rd field artillery battalion after landing in Normandy 10 day after D-Day his battalion joined Patton's third army. Supporting as a radio operator during the "Battle of the Bulge". He served 265 consecutive days of combat. Facing mortar shells, machine gunfire and strafing from German aircraft in Verdun Germany. When the war ended he was east of Wymar Germany,at the Buchenwald Camp, the furnaces and people were still there.

Melvin Schnurpel is honored by melvin schnurpel

I served in the US NAVY, NATIONAL GUARD and US ARMY. I have 4 honorable discharges. Not looking for any rewards, just stating my service and branches I served in. I am proud to have served. I did not see any battles or hear any shots fired in anger. I did serve in the West Virginia National Guard before going active duty in the Army. All i ask is when i pass, I would have members of each of the branches I served for carry me to my finial resting place and give the honors I would have coming.

I was born into the Army. I remember when I was 4, Dad going to Vietnam. We were witness first hand to our freedoms, privileges, honor, that we as Americans are getting away from respecting. I push for my loved ones to vote, to fly our Flag. Not a flag, but OUR Flag. To sing along with our National Anthem. To hold my hand over my heart and feel the blood pump. We need to feel the blood of America pumping again! Go vote, drive someone to vote, help campaign, fly YOUR flag. I Love you Dad!

Joseph Jarrell is honored by Justin Honaker

Cpl Joseph Jarrell served in Europe during World War II. He was with the 99th (Checkerboard) Infantry Division. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was wounded by shrapnel in Germany after crossing the Remagen Bridge and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Garland Smith is honored by Melissa Davis

I vote in honor of my Papaw, Garland Woodrow Smith, who proudly served in as a Warrant Officer in the 4th Armored Division of the U.S. Army during WWII. He served in the Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe Campaigns. He was a member of a recon unit and had two jeeps blown out from under him during missions. He was awarded a Purple Heart and 1 Cluster. He was the personal driver for Major John S. Wood and Major Creighton Abrams.
